Preah Vihear is a province which borders Thailand and Laos, and for many years has been a point of dispute and fighting between Thailand and Cambodia. From here, you can see the standing armies of the Thai and Cambodia nations as they watch each other, with guns and embattlements in place.  Now thankfully quiet!. Arrive at hotel and check in! We stay at Sra Em village, Sra Em commune (Two night stay).

  6. Day 6 :

Let’s start this morning after breakfast at your hotel we visit the new museum of the province Then visit Preah Vihear temple.  It is distinct from others not only in terms of its size but also in what it shows, with objects on display ranging from ancient artifacts to information about a variety of heritage locations in Cambodia, and even exhibits on neighbouring countries. It will also focus on local indigenous cultures, especially the Kuy ethnic group – including their role during the Angkorian era as elephant breeders and as armourers. Preah Vihear Temple is the crowning glory of the area. An ancient Hindu temple situated atop a 525-metre cliff has the most spectacular setting of all the temples with sweeping views across the jungles of Cambodia and Thailand.  Please be careful of the monkeys that live within the area – they are known for stealing sunglasses, hats and cameras!  In 1962, following a lengthy dispute between the two countries, the International Court of Justice in The Hague ruled that the temple is in Cambodia, in evening return to the hotel, stay at Sra Em village, Sra Em commune.
